I don’t regret most as far as things are,
I don’t look back in disgust
At my peace and my wars
I accept and I believe
That to win I must lose,
To laugh I will cry,
And to smile I will frown.
Wisdom is patient,
And patience is unkind.
But to lose sight of it all
Will bring a hell to unwind;
I made a decision
And with that I will shed my tears.
A decision to follow,
In a path that crawls with fear.
For I am what I am,
In the condition of a human I say
Can’t see further than my sight
While heaven and earth meet at bay
I made a decision,
With all the consequences that follow,
For it won’t deny the options
Nor the pride, I’ll swallow.
It’ll hurt to walk alone
But I have decided to make it my own.
