Sunday Afternoon
Wake up late
Had a sleepless night again
You wasted your gaze
And still no answer came

You got up
To stare at the mirror
Nothing has changed
Lie was still the same

The discrepancy
Of your days
Seems eternal
When it isn’t

Your look is inviting
But to you is deceiving
Because you know
Deep inside you’re wishing
That you’ll stop grieving

Stared at others
Through a taintless glass
But have you ever stopped and wondered,
Is this worth waking up for?

You got up late
On a Sunday afternoon
Tried to pretend
You are not there
But this feeling
Fades away too soon

Your skin is
Pretentious
It’s tainted with fear
Of what others may think
Or what if you shed a tear

Others
Are simply others
If you don’t learn
To live
Life is senseless
When you give everything
But never truly give

You woke up late
On a Sunday afternoon
To find out too late
That you were dripping blood
That made you lose weight
