 The children are dying in the name of others;
 Let’s hold our breath and count down the numbers, 
 For the nations are being torn;
 But old faces are being sworn
  
 Let us be here,
 In the wholeness of our condition,
 Because we are here
 In a case of denial and rendition;
  
 Let us cry our tears
 For all and not just some; 
 Let us open our arms
 And soak up the spilled blood.
  
 And let’s hold our cross, 
 And pray for all, 
 Let’s be more like Christ
 And take the blow and the fall.
  
 We are here,
 All and none behind;
 Let’s march for justice
 And for those we can’t see;
 March against bombs killing innocence, 
 Stand against insolent ignorance.
  
 Let’s move together
 Together towards forgiveness;
 Let’s embrace tolerance, 
 Let’s speak love in all its dimensions, 
 Let’s do this for all
 And never for convenience,
  
 Let us be here
 Humans and imperfect
 But let us all be here
 In the world where we belong.
